About

Energy Quest is a technology and manufacturing company that specializes in integrated, multi-energy cooling, heating, and power systems. We received our first patent in 2003 for heat-driven refrigeration. In 2010 we started developing technology with the Army SBIR Phase 1 project. Additional patents, and patents pending, have been awarded for system enhancements invented as new systems and applications were created. The cooling, heating, and power systems typically use heat from various sources, such as solar thermal and natural gas, but also waste energy streams, including exhaust heat from gas turbine and reciprocating engines. Energy Quest has been engaged by the U.S Air Force to develop a next-generation mobile power and air conditioning platform for aircraft ground support.

Energy Quest is headed by founder and president, Dewey Benson. He received his M.S. in controls from Arizona State University and worked at Honeywell Aerospace for 28 years. While at Honeywell he was awarded 19 patents (search author: Benson, Dwayne M.), spent 10+ years developing advanced technology, 12 years as a systems engineering lead, including project management, and 5 years as an engineering manager. Mr. Benson’s last position at Honeywell was Technology Fellow in Controls & Electronics. Since 2014 he has worked full time at Energy Quest.
